Winged Healing
Coos and chirps and trills resound
While flutters, thrums and whirrs abound.
Traffic stills and birds return as
wee singers’ sweetest echoes sound.
Red tails soar while down below
to flat green lawns the small ones go
to flit and worm and hop on rails
Calling fellow finches to and fro.
Fear and stress have lingered long
and now are vanquished by this song.
Retreating from our crisis cycles, found
winged healing perched here all along.
